Today's Meeting
Our Rotary Club Kihei Wailea was opened at 1210 by past president Kit Hawkins substituting
for President Joanne Doell.
Smita Martinez inspired us with a saying from Barack Obama “The best way to not feel hopeless is to get up and do something. Don’t wait for good things to happen to you. If you
go out and make some good things happen, you will fill the world with hope, you will fill yourself with hope".
The Hawaiian word for the day is Po’okela: to strive for excellence in all you do at all times.
We had one guest-Brian Campbell from Wenatchee, WA. He has been coming to Maui since 1978 and has a home at Hale Kamaole. His dad retired from Goodfellow Brothers which brought them to Maui often.
His favorite Maui Memory is The Bathtub at Makena. It is a
sheltered snorkel, swim place past La Perouse.

She attained college degrees and worked at NASA for 26 years.
