Today's Speaker
Lee Shapiro
Lee Shapiro talked to us about “The Art of Melting Conflict in Relationships”. How we deal with conflict-intention-control, comply, resist, shut down. Controlling behaviors can be: blame, shame and guilt, name calling, diminishing and condescending remarks. Could lead to hitting, yelling or silent treatment. Consequence could be separation, reactions, and no learning.

Strategies that work. One could explore with intent to learn and heal. Take time out for centering and clarity. Find common ground. Be active, compassionate listening, and reconciling errors; a Do-Over is often a strategy that leads to better understanding.
